Because is not about "getting his title back" if that was the case then we would have or about to see Martinez-Pirog happening.

But, nobody is saying that Manny/Floyd want "their belt back" now are they?

Well now Canelo has his belt and i dont see Sergio calling him out.

          Why is this?
What does him fighting Canelo at this point in his career? It doesn't elevate his status and it doesn't put him where he wants to be with Mayweather and Pac. He has nothing to gain but an alphabet belt in a fight he would be expected to win. He has evrything to lose and nothing to gain,if he wer to have some sort of slip up, which has been common of late.

So by every response in this thread. It's clear that it's not about "wanting to get his belt back" so we can all stop using that reason right?

Canelo wouldn't be allowed in the ring with Sergio. Canelo is, even after becoming a champ, still a prospect. There is no need for Canelo in Sergio's resume

                1. He's not that good.

                2. Golden boy isn't gonna allow their cash cow to lose. They're gonna build him up first.

IDK why, it would be a pretty easy fight for Sergio.

Why would he? Canelo can't bring the money, he hasn't done nearly to prove he's been in the ring with Martinez, and, quite frankly, Martinez would crush him. Canelo is nowhere near ready for Martinez.
