A 215 Tomasz Adamek just beat Kevin McBride (285 pounds)..Ya Mcbride was 40 pounds of dead weight..Still Vitali could be a mean 245 vs Adamek..30 pounds at heavy weight has to comparable to 12 pound that these smaller fighter make such an issue of..Or the 20+ pound between Haye and Wlad. These fighter's may be at a disadvantage but they came out of cruiser weights cause they wanted to fight the best..Fight or don't fight just just don't think 10,6,4,3 pounds make's a world of difference..

too bad pac doesnt fight all comers. he fights guys that are shop worn and demands weight restrictions so how can you be a fan of 'pac that takes on all comers' when it doesnt exists?

these *****s are insane. they already saw how much **** their idol floyd got for fighting the smaller marquez. and now they're riding the martinez's bandwagon like crazy and matching him up with a smaller guy.

Pacquiao has destroyed all his recent competition to the point where there are only a few fighters he could face which would make for a genuine 50/50 fight. Those include Marquez at 135, Mayweather at 147 and Martinez at 154. The emphasis is not on Martinez's weight, it is based on the fact that Martinez's skill plus his size will make for a very competetive fight. People want to see him in competetive fights. Greatness is only achieved through winning when the odds are stacked against the fighter or the fights are 50/50. Pacquiao beat the odds against De la Hoya, Hatton and Cotto, you could even argue Clottey was the first fully fledged welter however it's obvious that he can fight bigger fighters and win. The martinez fight isn't about size, it's about skill, Martinez is only considered too big because he has skill to go along with his size. For pacquiao to keep on builiding on his, already high, atg status he has to take the competetive fights. Wins against mayweather (147), Marquez(135) and Martinez (154) would be incredible for his legacy however they are all fights he coudl easily lose! The only division there are no competetive fights are at 140, he's proved he's greater enough to climb through weights but can he go one better and prove he can beat the best fighter, beside him, in those divisions?

It's obvious Pacquiao has always taken on all-comers because there are only a few fighters left for him to fight but for people to keep saying that he takes on all-comers he is going to have to fight them.

It's not about weight it's about competetion

As a pacfan i don't mind seeing pac gets beaten but it should be in a fair playing field. People like to bring up the pac-marg fight as a justification for martinez but we all know pac-marg happened at 150 catchweight. Can martinez make 150? No...so does it justify anything? No
                  pac would demolish serg...

Pac has taken Mayweather's place. Everyone wants to see Pac lose regardless of weight class.

Heres an example of another idiot, and a fallacy.

If thats the case, forget Sergio and let Pacquiao fight the Klits, Bhop, (Froch, Bute, AA = slightly bigger than sergio) because it will give him a greater challenge. GTFO! You cant blame Pac for a shietty division he is in, after him and floyd wiped it out.

A more realistic fight is Khan, Berto, or Bradley
