The marg one probably did but i havent heard any excuses from his camp about the weight...

154 is too big for pac, thats why he gave up the wbc belt he won at 150lbs which was just to set a new record of 8 titles

    im outta here....

if u think martinez should fight pac is just crazy, thats all im saying..

its not about the "0" .. oh wait hasnt pac lost already?

pac can fight whoever he wats at 147, thats his weight which hes comfortable at

berto and all them other cats can get some.. peace
youre a coward of a fan and simply dont want to see the fight happen because you dont want to risk Pacquiao losing. real fans want to see their fighters get tested against the best available for them.

When it gets down to it all thats happening is that Pacquiao is moving up one weight class from the one hes been compaigning at the last few years for a huge level fight.

Is not technicality it is fact. There is no 150 weight-class. 150 doesn't have their own belt. JMW does, and Martinez is willing to go down there and meet up with them.

        I don't see you beef?

WTF are you talking about? And, if neither wants to go to 154 that's cool too. If they feel they don't belong there. That is fine, they're not cowards for that. They're legit WWS who should/want to fight at their weight-class.

However, if one or the other fights again above WW, then there is no reason not to fight Martinez at 154.

Like I said if Pac goes through with the plan of fighting the winner of Marg-Cotto rematch then yes it is a duck.

But, until then is not. And, until then it is fine with Martinez wanting to fight them and them saying thanks or no thanks. That will change though if they fight above WW and not fight Martinez.
I think it would be fitting for Pac to fight Martinez at 154 as his very last fight before retirement.

Win or lose it would be a great way to go.

martinez has a substantial size advantage over pac and that's very obvious. if pac decides to take this fight big props to him and i definitely want to see it.

what's pathetic is some people are trying to disregard martinez's size advantage so that if pac will not take the fight they can say that he ducked martinez. ducking is only for fights that a fighter needs to take but he didn't. pac doesn't need to fight sergio and vice versa. for pac, fighting martinez is a matter of challenging himself to a level he's never been before if he feels he can take the challenge. if not, you can't blame him as he already took bigger challenges than most active fighters today.

Blame Pac for wanting to fight fighters who are bigger then him, which isn't the first or last time a boxer has done so. Blame Pac for making it an illusion that he fights bigger men at their peak condition.

Perhaps it hasn't occurred to you that Mayweather is a natural welterweight, and Manny P is a natural lightweight, besides being not only a couple of inches shorter but much shorter reach as well. Why should he submit himself to a battering just so that you and those like you get instant "gratification" seeing someone smashed up.

Martinez would also probably beat Mayweather, but because of his style of boxing, he would sustain far less damage than Manny P.

It's purely sadistic to keep urging a brave little guy who has to over-eat to make 144, into taking on the middleweight champion of the world, just so that he might sustain life threatening injuries.

You and your pals would have been happier living in ancient Rome, going to the arena to see overmatched fighters torn to pieces or just plain slaughtered.

And...by the way, I don't care a little damn who would win between Mayweather and Pacquiao, or who the best record or whatever. It's the ethics of the thing which influences my opinion.

Pac should fight at whatever weight he feels comfortable at.

                Same for Martinez.

No, Pac should fight at the weight that fans want to see him fight at. We're not asking him to face Hopkins, just Martinez.
