    Is Vitali on the slide?

The guy has been a beast for years and in my opinion is the number one heavy out there (far far better than his brother) but watching his last few fights I think he is starting to look his age and is on the slide. He seems much slower than a few years back and in the solis fight he looked dead easy to hit, if Solis had been in better shape and hadn't gone and busted his knee it might have ended up being a very interesting fight. Now I know that Adamek doesn't seem to have much of a punch at heavy but he is quick and skillful and with Vitali slowing I just wonder is he hitting the big guy at the perfect time ... Now some of the blinder of the klit fans will like just say "blah blah he destroyed solis in a round and look what he did to briggs etc etc" ... but thats over simplyfing things I think he looked a little vulernable in that solis fight (and that ain't something I associate with Vitali!) and briggs ... well i think the vitali of a few years ago would have stopped him in short order.

He's not on the slide, he has always been overrated. He has nowhere to slide from.

He's fought one good fighter and fighter and got tko'd.

He's pathetic and a disgrace to mankind.

I don't want to hear any excuses about why he lost from his fans if they say he is not on the slide

Anyone who makes definitive observations about Vitali being "on the slide" because of a single round he was winning and did win against Solis is deluded.

Vitali usually starts slow, the Kirk Johnson fight being an exception. Corrie Sanders did a lot better than Solis did in the first round against Vitali, and look how he ended up.

The fight with Briggs should have been stopped by about round seven, the proof of that being that Briggs ended up in the hospital for two weeks getting three operations, and his career is now over for good because of that beating.

Briggs just said the other day that "Vitali hits crazy hard."

No-one is physically the same at age 40 as they are at 30, but what little Vitali has lost physically he makes up for in ring guile and improved defense. He is better at measuring distance thanks to his informal work with Manny Steward and takes less punishment now than he did 10 years ago.

He hasn't lost, so why would his fans make excuses?

People believe what they want to believe. Even though there is no real evidence that Vitali is "on the slide," the people who don't like him and want him to lose want to believe that, so they will.

I was at the Adamek-McBride fight. I like Tomasz, but Vitali is going to destroy him.

He'd do the same to Haye, but I don't imagine that fight will happen after Haye gets beaten by Wladimir.

A few punks out there consider Lewis shot to **** at 37 or Holmes against Tyson at 38 so yeah, I'm afraid he is.

He was on the slide before he came back after all his injuries, but there are still no excuses because Vitali on the slide is arguably the best heavyweight in the division.
