i've always thought that manny should test himself against someone else at 154, like a cotto rematch, and based off that, he and his camp can decide if the martinez fight is possible. plus, if he beats cotto at 154 and grabs a belt (without a cw), he would've solidified his 8 division champ status without the last one being argued over a vacant belt w/ a cw against a non ranked fighter.

They would probably fight coto at 154 because they are sure they can beat him. They will never fight martinez because they are not sure they can beat him.
