First off, I don't even count that junior middleweight title as a legit title. Don't make me to be a blind follower just because I'm defending his case when you can clearly see the weight disparity.

Second, he's never stated that he can MAKE 150, but he can probably fight anyone at 150 and below. 147 or 150, they're both equally bad. I don't see Sergio coming in that low.

I don't think he has said he can actually make that weight, but I'd like to see him try. If he CAN make 150 or above, then I see this fight with Martinez possible, but if not, then it's all fantasy talk from here.

Manny and Floyd won't fight him because he is too much of a risk, that's the reason. This whole thing is pretty simple.

I take it you haven't come across the statement where Manny made about being able to make 150 not too long ago which I came across then! Which is why I found it odd I now came across this one which is where my original question came from in this thread!!



Also I think it's pretty simple why Martinez wants to fight Manny or Floyd as they are both considered the biggest and best which equals a guaranteed claim to number one and the biggest pay day in boxing. At the end of the day, which fighter wouldn't want an opportunity to face either? Martinez is no exception.

Sure Martinez may turn out to be too big for them, but that doesn't rule out the idea of them fighting Sergio just based on that reason alone! Specially when all three boxers have claimed 154 belts in the past themselves. Martinez is willing to go back to that division, but based on that vid in this thread Manny doesn't like the idea of attempting too, nor do I think Floyd would wanna do it again.

Manny & Floyd need to stop with the fights they have been taking and get in the ring with each other already before they consider Martinez or any other decent comp!
