I don't think he's that one-dimensional. He has his limits but against Margarito he showed a different style to his usual approach.

It's true that he doesn't really adapt, but from what I recall he was slightly behind in the first DLH fight after 6 rounds, but came on to sweep most of the second half of the fight. In the rematch he also focused on landing the harder single shots once he realised he was being outlanded.

He also make improvements for the rematches with Forrest and Wright. Obviously that's not the same as a mid-fight adjustment, but it counts for something.

His main problem as a fighter is his age. At any point of his career he would've struggled with a highly-skilled fighter like Floyd. But who wouldn't? I think he showed some good skills against Collazo, who was good enough to push Hatton and Berto very very close.

That wasn't true at all until his prime was fully over after the 2nd Oscar fight. Go watch the first Oscar fight and you'll see a guy who moves beautifully and was throwing great punches with both hands.

Does ANYONE realise Shane is damn near 40? So talking about him in the present tense is kinda futile. Of course he is gonna be slow, aged, one dimensional, unable to adapt. That's what happen when you age with a decent amount of accumulated damage.
