Why don't African-Americans support white American boxers?

White Americans have no one to support, nationalistically speaking. All top active white boxers are Europeans and Canadians. Look around, look at who the white American posters root for, Manny Pacquiao, Sergio Martinez, Wlad, etc. they have no one to root for, so they go outside their own country to root for whichever fighters are rivaling black boxers. Most of them at least, there are some white posters who support black fighters/any race, but it's very few. Others would rather die than to support a fellow American top boxer, because of reasons that I shouldn't even mention because it is so obvious.
Pacquiao has never fought a big name black fighter until Shane, yet "white people" have been loving him for years for one reason: He's exciting. Pacquiao's fight against Clottey, where he beat up a back guy for 12 rounds, was his lowest selling PPV in some time. The same reason people of all races liked to watch Tyson is the same reason people of all races like the Pacman.
Sounds like you've been telling yourself something for so long you actually think it's true. It's bull****. Those millions of PPV buys for Tyson-Holyfield and Tyson-Lewis did not come from a majority black purchaser base. Quit making excuses to feel sorry for yourself and step into reality.Last edited by paulf; 04-12-2011, 07:42 PM.Comment
