despite what the sergiosexuals say, it's clear sergio martinez and lou dibella want no part of the top fighters. they are more than content to fight goat farmers, sheep herders, and now 35-year-old japanese journeymen. hahaha what a jokeeeeee.Comment

wow man. This is one of the lamest posts I read in a long time. I heard of Ishida before. How can you not know about a Japanese boxer fighting in America? They are rare. So what if he ain't all big and a mega star because he is still relevant in the sport and he just showed what he could do when giving the opportunity and he performed very well. Who's going to pay to see the fight? Japan is a big issue right now and this win for Ishida is a big deal for him and his country. That's a story right there in itself. I'm starting to realize on here is that, just because a fighter is not well known that he is a bum? Ishida KO'd a tough, undefeated prospect that no one would ever think would lose to someone like Ishida. Who ever did that to Kirkland in his pro career? Can't believe people are trying to s#!t on a kid who won and impressively at that. Pac gets all the gift wins and titles in the world by fighting guys who aren't even considered competitive compared to him but Martinez is getting crusified for fighting a guy who just came off a KO win over an young, undefeated fighter? You guys are smoking.I'm aboxing fan. Everyday, I surf the net to find out what's the latest. Sergio is one fighter I do follow with a lot of interest and today, I had to ask myself 'What's going on with Martinez'? "Why do I have to google who the 'F" is Ishida? This doesn't go along with someone who is trying to become the No.1 P4P fighter in the world. Fighting someone whom you have to do research just to get a glimpse of an idea is not a practice by a fighter who is suppose to be considered one of the best. Sergio ain't that big to be cherry picking at this stage of his career. Who's gonna pay to see a Martinez-Ishida fight? 23-6 (8 KO's) to me is less than a 'B' fighter! Even if Sergio wins this fight in the first round by KO, I'm taking him off my P4P list. What a shame!Last edited by GRUSTLER; 04-12-2011, 04:42 PM.Comment

if a match is worse than mayweather-spadafora, i'm pretty sure it's worse than anything else including any pacquiao fights, bro. i think it's safe to consider it a pretty significant benchmark at this point.
homie also got a whopping single win outside the glorious land of nippon his entire career.
what happened to the real boxing fans? i dunno, vacation? retirement? tax problems? court cases? you tell me...Comment

How can it be worse than Pacquiao? Pacquiao has been making all kinds of stipulations and demands to stagnate his opponents. The Spadora thing is just a rumour from what I'm seeing because nobody else is speaking on it unless you heard something I didn't? Ishida won by first round KO over a undefeated fighter. Name me one Pacquiao opponent that blew away an undefeated fighter or even looked good in their fight before going up against Pac? For people to even question Martinez after the great matchups he gave us over the past two is weak at best.if a match is worse than mayweather-spadafora, i'm pretty sure it's worse than anything else including any pacquiao fights, bro. i think it's safe to consider it a pretty significant benchmark at this point.

uhhhh because sergio sucks. why do you think he's always fighting goat farmers from kazakhistan?
have you ever seen sergio box? he keeps his hands low like a n00b. he needs to fire the guy he got from 24 hour fitness and hire a professional trainer. otherwise he should just bicycle-ride full time and join the Tour de Gay-- something he might actually be good at.Comment

First off.... Your talking about "Sergiosexuals" but you have a sig of Martinez disrespecting who he has fought. That took some time for you to do. I would think you would not even bother if you don't care much for him as a fighter. 32 year old journeyman KO'd a undefeated, 20 something prospect in the 1st round. You can talk all the crap you want but can't take that win away from him.Comment
