Comments Thread For: Juanma Hoping To Grab Five Titles Before Walking Away

Juan Manuel Lopez began his career in the junior featherweight division where he became a champion, and recently won a title at 126 pounds. Before the end of the year or in early 2012, he will go up to junior lightweight where he hopes to spend a couple of years before rising to lightweight and then ending his career at 140 pounds. He hopes to retire with a record of winning five championships in five different divisions.

Your goal should be fighting all the top fighters,Not focusing on
      retiring undefeated.

He definitely has the frame to do it. He better stick around a while at 130 or 135 though or he'll be retiring in the middle of his prime.

IMO Juanma should stay at featherweight till the end of 2012 then move up to Jr Lightweight in 2013, stay a 3 years in that division then move up to Lightweight for 1 or 2 years fight the best there and then go to 140 to finishg his career. Also I don't think 147 is out of the question.

Juanma has the size to go to ww later in his career. If he keeps a good pace he can hold belts all the way up to ww and be 6 div. Champion. But he should not rush and take his time. Grow into the weights naturally.

It all depends if he carries his power up with him, if he does, I see him winning titles up to possibly 135, at 140 doubtful, as for retiring undefeated...highly unlikely since he too is a KO waiting to happen.

Juanma has his goals and if you shoot at the Sun you might just hit the moon.
We will see how He looks as He goes up in weight. Maybe He should hire Arista and his famous shakes before moving up.

Hes gonna have to step his game up before doing that.

I see many flaws in his defense. When he was dominating at 122 I thought that as he moved up to 126 he would improve a great deal, but I havent been impressed.

Matagwa took him deep at 122 and Marquez rocked him at 126. There are better fighters out there than can put a serious hurting on him. I hope he does what he wants to do yet I dont see it unless he improves his defense.

Hey, just keep cherry picking opponenents and fighting old timers or hand picked tomato cans and your on your way juanmaricon. Your half way there just keep up the pace and keep duckin and dodgin. Has this clown been in fight he was not supposed to dominate yet? I dont think so, u can fool some of the people some of the time
