i think it's prudent on peterson's part. let's be real. he's doing this for the money. he's not a knockout artist, his style isn't particularly crowd pleasing, and he doesn't have a star personality. another loss or two pretty much forever puts him in the "opponent"/"gatekeeper" role of the division. i dont think theres enough money in that role to motivate him to keep goin. i wouldn't call him mentally weak. based on his performances in the bradley and ortiz fights, his two hardest fights where he competed quite well. i think you have him mixed up with his brother (BUUZZZZZINGG!) who found the easy way out against rios.

I just think that I'm the best in the division," said Peterson.

Funny guy, was completely out boxed by the midget Bradley and faced the canvas twice vs Ortiz and badly hurt before the coward Ortiz start to run the last 4 RD's. If you were the best in the division, why didn't you accept a career high pay day (300K) against Khan to challenge him for the WBA belt ?

Huh?? the heck you talking about? You talking like he's an old ass guy who has been thru a lot. He's very young I mean who could still probably call him a prospect and now he's talking about retiring if he loses?? You seriously don't find that alarming when you hear that from a young fighter?Comment
