Oquendo has a good enough reputation for the promoter, who must know him well,, or of him, to put him in this show. He probably has so many to chose from that it is a problem. It should be a good show as a few world class fighters are included.

Stiiiiilll.....it would have been "nicer" if the KING of BOX, His Majesty Haye the first (and last) had rolled over in bed and phoned the promoter himself. To many other affairs maybe?

Like any normal decent guy would do. But first, we need that "normal, decent, guy".......

Fres Oquendo is finished. If he can't beat Oliver McCall convincingly, he doesn't deserve to be in this tournament. Think about it, every big, meaningful fight Oquendo has lost: Oliver McCall, Jean Marc Mormeck (who is natural light heavyweight/cruiserweight), James Toney, Evander Holyfield (an old washed up Holyfield at that), John Ruiz, Chris Bird and David Tua. Who has he beat, the biggest name I could find is Bruce Seldon, who got rocked and KO'd by Tyson with a punch to the shoulder, KO'd in one by Rid**** Bowe and lost to Tye Fields by second round KO, with the Tye fight tells you all you need to know about Seldon. Fres won't win this tournament regardless of opposition. He should retire and call it a day...

You don't sound very fair to Oquendo, of the 7 losses you mentioned, 6 were to reigning or former World Champions. Seldon (whom he didn't fight) whom you involve, (like a 44th cousin) was at his best around the same time as Tyson. Which is YEARS and YEARS ago, and should not even be mentioned.

Oquendo is 38, has had a very good resume even if he lost his big fights, and is still trying to make a living at the only thing he knows how to do. I'm sure he doesn't ENJOY getting into a ring and being battered around so that people like you can get their "kicks" by seeing his blood.

            Grow up.
