Man, I thought it was funny getting KO'd by a featherfister like that.

I think it was a questionable stoppage, but I think he was about to get KO'd, and the last KD was a hard, legit one.

In the JMM knockdowns, they were FLASH KD's, you can see his face, body language and response to the ref that he wasn't really hurt. It was more frustration that he got caught.

The worst part about the JMM KD's was that his nose was broken, that was about it.

Kirkland on the other hand, was seriously hurt from the first KD. His legs were gone, he couldn't defend himself and by the 3rd KD, he was out.

If he would have gotten up and then got hit by some crushing hand, Cortez would have been killed for it. I thought it was a very good stoppage and the job of the ref is to protect the fighter. Cortez did that and Kirkland has nobody to blame for himself.

Maybe cortez is so scenile that he thought the money oscar sliped into his pocket pre-fight was on behalf of ishida instead of kirkland. Expect to never see cortez on a GBP card again!
