Comments Thread For: Mayweather Sr. Disagrees With Kirkland on KO Loss

MGM Grand, Las Vegas: The "Upset Kid" - Japan's junior middleweight Nobuhiro Ishida (23-6-2, 8KOs) - became an instant sensation with his first round stoppage of previously undefeated James Kirkland (27-1, 24KOs). The fight took place on Saturday night on the Erik Morales-Marcos Maidana pay-per-view undercard. After scoring three knockdowns, the referee stopped the fight and Ishida pulled off the upset of the year.

I like Jr but can't stand Sr.

This guy's comments are useless. He is too biased and too inconsistent.

I don't even know why we still post articles about him up, .

Kirkland was just eating punches left and right. He didn't even see most of them. All of the aggressive, no defense fighters get exposed sooner or later. Ishida fought a great fight. He took advantage of Kirkland's wide open style.

kirkland was done after the first knock down, after that he was just trying to survive and he got eaten alive.
