I guess so lol, Its incredibly greedy of Team Khan to switch this fight from sky to primetime with less than a week to go, It shows how greedy they are, They are not thinking this ***** through, If this fight stays on skysport 3 for free most people would get the chance to see it and definitely buy his next fight (Bradley), If they go to primetime on short notice they would sell less than 10,000 buys and most people wouldnt buy his next fight.
"GREEDY?!?!??!?!??!?!? OH YOU'RE DEFINITELY BIASED OR RACIST!!!!!"
I do actually feel sorry for Khan a little bit in this situation as it does appear to be a fuck up on Sky's part. If this fight was scheduled for Box Office then Sky should have carried through with this especially considering they have shown worse Khan bill's in the past.
The fact that the fight was scheduled for SBO would have effected ticket prices and this then probably made it impossible for Khan to accept the move over to regular Sky Sports when people had paid a lot to be at the fight when they could have have just stayed home and watched the fight for free.
Also Khan get's a lot of stick at the best of times so cancelling the fight due to UK TV money is probably out of the question as the only people he would be annoying would be the people who actually like him and were coming to see him fight. The fight is also still being shown in the US and he won't want to annoy HBO, especially right before the upcoming Summer showdown with Bradley.
The fight with Bradley is another reason why Sky should have decided what they were doing from the start. This fight was always going to be the appertiser to the Khan-Bradley main course and it would have been a good idea in terms of promotion to have this fight on regular Sky Sports but they should have decided this from the start.
Sky decided that this was a Box Office event and should have carried through with it, I personally wouldn't have paid for it but i'm not a massive Khan fan and have only bought one of his PPV's in the past. This is big **** up on a fight which is just one before the biggest fight of Khan's Career and Khan vs Bradley is one of the biggest fights in the whole of boxing. Hopefully the Khan-Sky relationship hasn't been completely destroyed because in all honesty, where else can Khan go in terms of UK Broadcasting?
Good move by Team Khan. If hes not on box office getting paid extra, He may aswell go to ITV and have the fight watched by 8 million people. Instead of 1 million on sky sports.
