Morales didn't throw enough in the late rounds to win. Sure he did have the occasional flurry, but I think Maidana's work rate was way more effective. Did you guys see Morales after the fight? He was cut, swollen, his ribs looked bruised beyond belief. He didn't win that fight. Sure, it was close, but he didn't do enough to win. IMO

I remember scoring the fight myself and I think I gave Maidana the win 7 rounds to 5. I forgot the exact rounds but it was something roughly like Rounds 1-4 Maidana. Rounds 5-8 Morales. Round 9 Maidana. Round 10 Morales and Round 11 and 12 Maidana.

I just thought Maidana was hurting Morales more. Morales was landing the cleaner punches but he wasn't throwing nearly enough in the later rounds to win, IMO.
