Actually, I think Morales came in weighing 1 pound more...They both came in at 150+

    And I'm pretty sure they're both 5'8"

Unless you're saying Morales best weight was at 126? Which I agree with, but tonight Maidana and Morales were the same size.

u make it seem like Morales came in the ring looking fit. the weight didnt look good on him. his physique was poor. the point is hes a naturally smaller fighter used to getting hit in lower weight classes. thats a huge factor.

he must not have trained as hard or sumit.

but fair play morales, giving it a good go,but his eye and maidana power might yet provial.
My thoughts exactly. He under estimated Morales. Even the greatest fighters have done that. Morales still did much better than expected. Props to him.

It looked like he was in shape, IMO. If anything I thought he looked a little skinnny at the weigh in. Morales has been fighting at 130+ since 2003. And has been rehydrating to the mid 140's+ for quite some time now. And a lot of the opponents he fought have been rehydrating to a very similar size... It wasn't like he was going that far up in weight for this fight.

Maidana is still a very good fighter. He has never been beaten decisively. People were underestimating Morales coming into this fight. I think he can hang with the top dogs at 140. I know he would beat Marquez and Judah at 140 easy.

hes a blown up featherweight whos essentially shot. theres no way to sugarcoat that. u can post weights he rehydrates to but the point is his best years were wayyy behind him and his best years were 3 weight classes away. thats huge.

Maidana has the the worse footwork in boxing, I don't know how many times in this fight he looked like he was able to fall over, only to come back swinging

no question he has amazing Power...but THAT IS ALL HE HAS! But hey he did enough to win

I'm not sugarcoating anything. I admited his best weight class was 126. And yeah he's shot. The only thing I'm saying Maidana isn't naturally bigger. They're both roughly the same size. Morales was always a big featherweight. When he started to get old he put on a couple pounds and now he's the same size as a JWW.

Let's see Khan vs Morales then and them figure this out.

There's no doubt this takes the shine off khans win.

I really think jmm v khan is much more competitive then I used to think it could be. Erik vs khan not so much due to khans speed.
