Anybody is liable to be stopped after getting knocked down three times in a single round. Get over it.

James Kirkland may have beat Ishida before his imprisonment, but he was never going to be world class. He was nothing but a hype job with more deficiencies than you could shake a stick at.

Your man was exposed, suck it up and move on.

      This guy.

"He [Ishida] wasn't anything. He had no power."

That's great, James! You just got KD'd 3 times (2 of them heavily) and stopped by a dude who has no power!

Technically he already stopped the fight by this point, but yeah lol. That was dumb. He probably didn't want to feel like a jackass for calling the fight too early, which he kinda would have had Kirkland gotten up.

That said, Kirkland's chin is clearly in trouble. Maybe he can fight Yuri Foreman at 154, but he better stay away from anyone with any kind of power for a while. Hopefully he takes this opportunity to learn how to box while he works his neck for better punch resistance

Who is world class at 154???

                None of them are.

You dont have to be world class to be a Champ....look no further than Alvarez.

Nobuhiro Ishida: “As you know, Japan had a very big earthquake. It makes me happy and proud to come to the United States and win for my country. He [Kirkland] didn’t expect this from me. He didn’t respect what we had. Kirkland kept coming forward at me and so I kept going with my right, my right, my right and it worked. I had my country on my side and now I’m ready for a world title shot.”
Ishida comes across as a good sportsman.

He's quite a contrast to James Kirkland, who has shown himself to have weak character and poor sportsmanship.
