Just because Kirkland got dropped in the first round a couple of times don't make him a bum. Just means that Ishida was the better fighter that night. They should change this site's name from "boxingscene" to "Haterscene". Why don't most of you try to give the Japanese kid some props.

3 Knockdown rule or not, Ishida was landing flush all round. Kirkland wasn't coming back, offence was meh.

Everyone hating on Kirkland, no love for Ishida has a decent record former champ, and apparently has goos skills and he did this at 35 no spring chicken.
