If Bob Arum promoted Alexander and Bradley, we would have never seen them fight. Everyone likes to **** on Alexander-Bradley now that it happened, but if you give me a list of the fights most wanted for 2011, Bradley Alexander was probably #3 behind Pacquiao-Mayweather/Wlad Haye.
#4 is probably Lopez and Gamboa. What does Arum want to do with that? He wants the same type of deal that he is criticizing HBO for. What he says is true, it's not particularly smart on HBO's part to give a ****load of money to the loser of the fight. Alexander-Mythasse is a good fight though and I'm looking forward to it.
Arum wants to make events to get boxing back in the spotlight, but he won't fully do that without making quality match ups. To his credit, Pacquiao-Mosley's undercard is pretty good, so maybe he is starting to get it.
Isolating his fighters and not matching them to produce the best fights says otherwise.
