If Bob Arum promoted Alexander and Bradley, we would have never seen them fight. Everyone likes to **** on Alexander-Bradley now that it happened, but if you give me a list of the fights most wanted for 2011, Bradley Alexander was probably #3 behind Pacquiao-Mayweather/Wlad Haye.

#4 is probably Lopez and Gamboa. What does Arum want to do with that? He wants the same type of deal that he is criticizing HBO for. What he says is true, it's not particularly smart on HBO's part to give a ****load of money to the loser of the fight. Alexander-Mythasse is a good fight though and I'm looking forward to it.

Arum wants to make events to get boxing back in the spotlight, but he won't fully do that without making quality match ups. To his credit, Pacquiao-Mosley's undercard is pretty good, so maybe he is starting to get it.

Isolating his fighters and not matching them to produce the best fights says otherwise.

      like cotto-margarito didn't happen, like cotto-mosley, margarito-mosley, cotto-judah, margarito-paul williams, clottey-judah, clottey-margarito, clottey-cotto, clottey-pacquiao, pacquiao-marquez II, pacquiao-de la hoya, pacquiao-hatton, pacquiao-cotto, donare-montiel didn't happen. gtfo..do you guys even think before you hate?

juanma-gamboa will happpen soon enough, you just have to be a little patient. top rank knows how to build stars and fights. there is not a fight they have killed or haven't made that was demanded in their recent history.

alexander-bradley would have sold a hell of a lot more tickets than 600 if arum put it together. what arum says is valid. i'm all for fighters getting as much as they can, but not when they don't earn it and hurting the sport by doing it. berto getting paid millions to fight bums and alexander getting rewarded with a million after his quit effort ve bradley is wrong and bad for boxing

Arum has gone on record saying that if he had Alexander and Bradley, he wouldnt have matched them together by the time Shaw and Arum did. Cotto has star power, much more than Alexander and Bradley do.

Gabmoa Juanma has had multiple opportunities to happen. What has Arum done to make Gamboa or Lopez a bigger draw. Marquez Lopez, sure, but I'm certainly sure the Lopez Conceptions and the Lopez Salidos of the world are building towards it.

Arum has even said that he's just waiting for the paycheck from HBO or Showtime, exactly what he is criticizing HBO for doing to Bradley-Alexander.

Also some of the fights you listed like Margarito Williams, Arum didn't want to happen. It was Margarito who didn't want to vacate his WBO belt instead of fighting Cotto, so he fought Williams.

        And to answer the bold:
Paul Williams vs Antonio Margarito II
        Kelly Pavlik vs Arthur Abraham
Juan Manuel Lopez vs Celestino Caballero

There are a lot of fights that arent happening because of the GBP Top Rank war too.

        edit:

Also Bradley Alexander sold a lot more then 600 tickets. It had a crowd of 6200, which tickets boosted a last couple of weeks anyway.
