It was a good technical fight. I had Hasegawa up 2-1 I was going for Gonzalez he does look improved just wish he would tighten his hooks up a bit, but then again they are deceiving when he throws them. 2 of my favorite fighters going at it hate to see Hasegawa lose but he fell in to a pattern that was easy to read after a few rounds. With a experienced trainer and a hungry fighter you just cant do that, if Hasegawa would of mixed it in more not just go primarily for the straight to the body he could of posed more problems. I don't think hasegawa has a glass chin he would of gone down earlier with some of the bombs that landed on him flush he just never saw that right coming. I just wish the ref would of given him a chance to try and recover after all he was the champ but he was visibly hurt. Overall alright stoppage and cong**** to Jhonny been a fan of him through his wins and losses even early on wish him good luck in his new campaign as champ.
Rewatching it again, only gave Hasegawa the 2nd round.
I didn't see, but is it time we start calling Hasegawa's chin glass? That's two now where he was apparently winning and then got caught.
He took some big shots from Burgos. Both Jhonny and Montiel are big punchers, no shame in losing and it wasn't a quick stoppage (I though so to at first), you can clearly see his legs woble when he stands up.
Why don't Lopez fight Gonzalez instead of giving Marquez a rematch? I'm not saying Gonzalez would beat him. But at least it would be something different.

How did you not give him the third. Maybe I need to watch it, but all Gonzalez landed were body jabs. Hasegawa was the one feinting and he landed his right hook pretty hard and his left was getting there too.
This fight was a shame. I thought the stoppage was early and it who knows if Hasegawa could have come back. He wasn't nearly out as bad as he was montiel. Props to Gonzalez because I know there isnt going to be any rematch.
