Comments Thread For: Khan-Bradley Could Have Big Hurdles Over The Money

BoxingScene.com has been advised that a possible fight between junior welterweight champions Timothy Bradley and Amir Khan is going to have some serious hurdles over the money. Team Bradley, and manager Cameron Dunkin, are not happy with Bradley being forced to sit out until July 23, and that date is not set in stone.

so? That's not Amir's fault. If Bradley wants Amir he will just have to wait after April 16th. If for some reason, Khan-Bradley doesn't happen, Bradley could always pursue for a Maidana fight.

Timothy Bradley deserves nothing. He's a crap fighter who practices head butting.

He deserves nothing? It takes two fighters to make one of boxings biggest fights of the year.

Who could of guessed a big fight in boxing with many obstacles in the way.....has there ever been a big fight to come off with no problems at all? Just another long list of things that is ***ed up in this sport.

Is Bradley looking for excuses not to fight Khan? It seems he's the one putting up the barriers here.

If HBO is so bad they should go elsewhere...but you know they won't.

It doesn't sound like that to me. It sounds like he's upset that he would be making the same amount as Devon Alexander, despite beating him. Also upset that HBO wouldn't give him another date, like they did Amir.

what sort of a story is this?! 1st...is khan fighting mccloskey in the states? didnt think so. 2nd...there is always a story with khan when it comes to money.
if either fighter ducks the other for any reason then they need stripping.

Timmy is my man, but I don't know why he's complaining about inactivity when he sat out from December to July the following year. Then also fought in January. That's six months every time pretty much.

This isn't anything to do with Khan.

Purses wouldn't have even been discussed between parties yet. HBO have probably suggested a rough estimation of the figure it is willing to pay for the fight and it doesn't sound as if Bradley is happy with it.
