I can even see Bradley vs Khan being on PPV over there, and that fight is going to be an HBO fight here.
Bradley, Alexander, Matthysse and Judah were all unavailable for the April date. Bradley was just hyping the fight up. No way would he have fought as soon as in April again. Ortiz wasn't going to fight in the UK.

So there were only a few top 10 LWW fighters left. Peterson, Guzman and McCloskey.

Guzman is unreliable with his weight issues.

Peterson did price himself out. He got offered 300K, his biggest payday till date. To give you an idea, he got 100k for fiighting Ortiz.

So the only one left was Paul McCloskey.

I guess Sky Sports felt like they were going to take a bath on this fight and decided to cut their losses. What I can't understand is, or better yet don't know, but isn't a PPV telecast written into a contract when getting a fight and a paid amount to the fighter guaranteed? I just don't understand how they can change a fight from PPV to cable a week and a half befoe the fight and then change the purse amounts! Also, I wonder how many people would have not paid to get a seat if they knew they could see it for free on TV? This just sounds like a really shady thing to me. If McCloskey still gets $300K, then each fighter will be paid close to the same (Khan will actually earn more but not by much)....

this is where Khan needs to be careful. i can see 'team khan' chucking their toys out of the pram on this one and pissing sky off.

khan isnt short of a bob or two and this is a low risk fight. take the money and bide ur time for bradley.

i'll bet they cancel and move str8 to bradley....thats not the right move...khan should take the keep busy.

He's a stingy bastard he never wants to pay other fighters. On another note this will make him start fighting good opponents, how could he really get paid £1.25m for fighting McCloskey? Why didnt he just get into the Bradley fight?

This is very good news indeed
