Steward atm, just. But Garcia is very young and will become a legendary trainer in my opinion.

Is impossible to get significant improvements in just two training camps and having those two fights in a bigger division so it was unrealistic to think that. But Steward has help Cotto so much in there. Cotto is now fighting seting everything up with his jab to the point he threw more jabs than power punches against Mayorga. That is actually good because Cotto's jab is not a normal jab, that thing is so powerfull is like a freaking ******* and it sets up the devastating left hook and it helps Cotto fight at a controled pace so he has better stamina late in fights. Also Cotto's power is a lot better with Steward compare to his 2 fights against Clottey and Pacquiao so that means Steward is working very hard to help Cotto with his balance so he can get the most power he can out of his punches and not bend over so much. Also Steward has given CONFIDENCE to Cotto something you can't buy and when it goes is hard to get it back but Steward helped get it back to Cotto and you can see Cotto feels he can beat anyone because he has a legendary trainer in his corner and for the first time in his career a real trainer.

First off you can't compare what Cotto did vs Clottey and Pac to what he did vs Mayorga and Yuri Foreman. Two much different level of opposition and it's easier to look "improved" against lesser fighters.

I think Stewart is a legendary trainer, no doubt I just don't think you can teach an old dog new tricks. I think the best thing Stewart is doing for Cotto is putting him in a much more organized training camp, where he has taken control of the whole camp and Cotto is answering to him. Instead of having that power struggle he did with his uncle.

As far as who is better between him and Garcia, well all time I would say it's Stewart easily because of his record and history with Kronk gym.

I do think that Garcia is a big up and comer though and he is young, has a bigger stable of fighters and I think it's safe to say Stewart is only doing this part time where as Garcia is hungry right now and building fighters from the bottom up.

Both though are great for the sport and I think in a short time, Garcia will be recognized as the new version of Freddie Roach.

People see Steward now, traveling the globe training these elite fighters, the same as every other worldclass trainer will. The thing is that he is not only an awsome trainer, he was amazing. Sterward took his hardwork and the kids hard work in the community recreation center and turned it into complete success. Milton McCrory, Thomas Hearns, Stevie McCrory, Jimmy Paul were all home grown with Emanuel. There may have been more but I'm not certain. Emanuel built success. And you can't build a house full of champions on luck alone. Hands down, Manny Steward over Garcia, not even close...........Rockin'
