It is kinda sad he doesn't. Floyd's resume will be looked as a whole to make it great. But as a one fight great prime fighter he had a fight with, if Corrales was his best win then that really is weak compared to other ATG fighters.

If that's not elite then what is?

Jose Luis Castillo the greatest Lightweight of his era. That's not an elite fighter?

Undefeated Ricky Hatton not an elite fighter even though he'd been on the top 10 P4P list for years?

What's the standard for "elite"? Prime ATG's only? If so then how many fighters have wins over prime elite fighters?

just realized corrales was a top 5 lb for lber according to the ring

this was when "the ring" was still ring f#cking magazine. it wasn't perfect, but it stood alone as the best!

that fight was close to 15 years ago. floyd mayweather isn't an all time great

Actually he gave Bradley his first loss. So Manny has beaten a elite fighter in his prime

                Awesome bump tbh lol.

Mayweather wiped the floor with "supposedly" the fighter of the decade. He dominated Pacquiao and made the biggest bank in the history of sport.

                It was a storybook ending.

No he hasn't, if corrales and Castillo ain't elite, neither is bradley. Bradley hadn't beaten anyone at 147 either when #48 fought him. Floyd fought jlc and corrales at their best weight classes too.

Mayweather is an ATG fighter skills wise but he will never be remembered as a LEGEND of the sport like Duran,Leoanrd,Hagler,Robinson, etc....

His best win is Diego Corrales..thats a good fighter in his prime at his weight that he beat. Everyone else pretty much was past it or not that good.

Should have fought Martinez like Cotto did..should have fought Margarito, should have fought Williams, should have fought Cotto,Shane,Pac years before he did,,

Story of his career, always took the safe route.

I do remember Floyd retiring right after he beat Hatton and Cotto beat Mosley.

                      Why was that?

My only problem with Floyd is that at 140 and up he decided to not take more risk fights.
