I don't know man. There is so much hate for certain fighters as soon as they start achieving moderate success.

But I don't think it's real hate towards Alvarez. He's really being hyped as the next big thing, not just in Mexico, but in all of boxing. He's already being compared to De La Hoya.

It's not so much hate, its mostly doubt.

Canelo has a lot of potential for a guy his age. I'm really interested in where his career will be in the next 2-3 years. I think he definitely has what it takes to be a superstar. We shall see if he can back up the hype.

I agree that attention should go where it is deserved. But life isn't fair. You gotta live with what you got. There you got immensely talented fighters like Donaire and Martinez who couldn't attract a big a crowd as Canelo, but it is what it is. Can't hate Canelo for being popular, charismatic, exciting, and more importantly, good people that guide his yound career.

That is something we shall wait to see. It is normally when the so called 'hype jobs' shine like a star in the sky. When they've got that number 1 guy infront of them.
