Cagey veteran with decent power, smarts and a lot of heart. May posses everything needed to beat Canelo. Whats on Canelo's side in this fight is his power and youth. More is needed to win which is why this fight is intriguing.

I dont know who this Rhodes kids is but appently (typo) he would make for a good scrap and a good test for Cinamon so im all for it. They can do a PPV and put some good fights on the undercard.

Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions, has advised BoxingScene.com that a deal could be finalized as early as this week for Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's first defense of the WBC junior middleweight title against mandatory challenger Ryan Rhodes (45-4, 31KOs). Alvarez (36-0, 26KOs) will defend against Rhodes on June 18 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Discussions are still ongoing to determine whether or not the fight is going to land on regular HBO. There is a possibility that Alvarez-Rhodes will headline an HBO pay-per-view event.

I don't know whether this is a garbage fight but I agree that GBP & WBC will do all they can to protect the kid. I have a strong su****ion that Rhodes must KO to win.
