Glad this fight is happening, Rhodes has been around for so long and has been unfortunate not to get a title.

Since moving back down to light middle he has look dam good, alvarez is in for a tough tough night.

    War Rhodes

If anybody is overlooking Rhodes then they are DUMB....I believe Rhodes is gonna win this fight by KO...Even if Canelo wins he's gonna know he was in the toughest fight of his life...Rhodes is no joke

Power is there but stamina might not be his game.

your right about the scoring. every fight i have seen rhodes in apart from the jamie moore fight his style doesnt seem to waste energy. he picks his punches and walks his man down. in the moore fight he got drawn into a war and we all seen the outcome of that one.

should be a great fight really looking forward to it

arum would have said **** this, made canelo vacate the title and then fight a stiff from his own stable.

This is a nice progression fight for Canelo. If he wins, which I think he will, in my mind he takes the step from prospect to contender.

I don't think they are rushing Canelo at all, I think he has a damn good chance of winning this fight. War Canelo!!!

I really like this fight. This will prove if Canelo is worthy of being a world champion and having the belt. This should have been the fight made for the vacant belt and this is how I look at it. A good stiff test for the kid and a worthy opponent. As long as this is on free HBO, I will be happy.

Shaeffer is trying to make it seem like they are putting their foe against a top notch opponent by saying; "He is very dangerous." O.K? Boxing is a dangerous sport period so whats the difference? we all know that Canelo sucks so you can say Rhodes is a natural born killer and that still won't change anything.

There was a time when a world champion was supposed to "take on all comers". I know that in the real world it was never quite like that, but if it is "too early" for alvarez to take on his challengers, he should not wear the belt.

Good, they made him world champion. Now it's swim or sink for Canelo. Let's hope Canelo can pull it off convincingly.
