I reckon it wud do the world a favour for some fighters to have lost because some are avoiding and hand picking fights in order to stay unbeaten which is not good for the fans! Some fighters have actually received more praise and have raised theyre profile for how they have lost a fight compared to some fighters winning against not so strong opponents.
Floyd and Calzaghe: What if they lost a couple of early fights?

Lets say that Calzaghe and Floyd lost a couple of fights when they were green contenders, do you think that would of allowed them to take more risks later in their careers? When you have been undefeated for a long time it can make you overly cautious about losing that 0 later in your career
Thoughts please?Comment

Your right he should of fought margo but i think it was seen as a big risk/small reward....Comment

u cant fault him for fighting baldo. he needed chips in order to negotiate an oscar match and baldo was lineal champ at ww. that was the right decision. he could have fought margs tho, no doubt. that would have been better than fighting judah at least. but going on to fight oscar made him blow up. and did he duck cotto??? kinda hard to argue he did or didnt. i dunno what was on his mind when he retired, but if he legitimately wanted to stop boxing, that was his right. the pac thing tho is the most inexcusable avoidance. we'll see wat happens.Comment

floyd waited till the best fighters lost and then fought the lesser guys. he's the master of triangle theory. it would be similar to if sam peter beat wlad then haye jumped at the chance of fighting peter. cong**** you waited till the dangerous guy lost and then became an opportunist!Comment

Pac is the most overly cautious thing in boxing.
It's not enough most of his opponents have been KTFO or looked like crap...they have to drain down on top of that.Comment

hopkins and armstrong lost their first pro fights and they fought into their 40s. if they were undefeated they would have retired long ago to protect their flimsy undefeated records. monzon lost 3 fights early on in his career but when he became champ he challenged himself. all 14 title defenses were against top 5 guys besides napoles who was the number 1 welterweight. if he was undefeated he would have fought a bunch of tocker pudwills.
tocker pudwills was a ok fighter best from the usa at that time fought calzaghe and ottkeComment

He fought Oscar at 154.
All ****** does is cherrypick in-house bums and Floyd's leftovers.Comment
