Do you want to bet on this fight, granted a long time away but I could use the money?
I can't back Hatton up as much as I do and not put my money where mouth is now can I? I'll put 100k on him if you like? And I'll make it 500k if p4p/El Terrible ever gives me back the points that I leant him.

We'll have to disagree that there's a significant difference in the power of a 34 and 38 year old Phillips. The fact that he had to tell us that he was hurt says good things about his chin to me.

It does make me smile that the only reasoning for a KT victory seems to be "big right, goodnight". Worse fighters than Hatton have gone the distance with him. Do you really think Urkal is more solid than Hatton? Some of Urkal's shots had a visible effect on Tszyu and he's got nowhere near the power of Hatton.

I've never really rated Mitchell so I need to see more from KT to tell me he's truly still the fighter that he was, and Judah was looking good against him until he got hit. The guy's got to get old some time.

Like I said, I don't think he's a no-talent, but KT takes him in the middle rounds easy. How will the British press spin that one?
Most of the fans and press in Britain appreciate that he needs to step up in class and they believe that he'll be able to do it. Too many people seem happy just to presume that he won't without seeing enough of him to know his true potential. Why do so many people on this site think that Cotto's going to be a superstar when his resume's worse than Hatton's?

100K your on...we will have to periodically bring this up to each other as the fight grows near. oh if Im not mistaken which I am a lot the Zoo/Vince fight took place in 97 and the hatton fight took place in 03...thats six years not four, plus Zoo was not as good then as he is now but I could be wrong!

Cool. I'm sure we'll chat between then and now so I'll let you know how I'm gonna spend it .

I did check out the Phillips thing a couple if weeks ago and I'm pretty sure I'm right, but could be wrong. You're right, KT is better but his chin's not. And Hatton would beat any version of Phillips IMO. If you rate Mitchell at all then I don't see how you can dismiss the Phillips that Hatton fought seeing as he took Mitchell to SD 5 months earlier.

I think has has gotten better, i saw his last fight, he was actualy moving around and dodging some of those blows, instead of coming straight at the guy and taken those blows, but he still rushes, and takes alot of chances, i guess what it comes down to is wether or not he can take Tzyu's blows, if he can, then he def has a good chance at it.

(also if you look at the fight with mitchell, mitchell tried to come in on the inside agrresively and thats when he got caught by Tzyu, i like hatton, but it really depends on what he can take, IMO )

I don't hate Hatton . . . in fact I'm rooting for him to get big fights so he can really prove himself. You see there will always be question marks and doubts on fighters capabilities if they don't venture out of their lair . . . their den to meet other named fighters. Same with the case of Harisson.

Because IMO a couple of the guys on Hatton's record would beat anyone on Cotto's. The post wasn't meant as a derogatory comment towards Cotto, more towards some people's hypocracy.

Hatton & all of his fans are in for a rude awakening. He's going to to get stretched in this fight. KT accuracy & power spell danger for the head-first Hatton. Hatton doesn't have exlposive power or else he would've finished Philips off with some of the punches that he landed. He's more of a wear you down TKO type fighter. If he does try to take it to KT, his plans will change very quickly once he tastes a straight right to his chin.
