Hopkins Calzaghe who won

I had Calzaghe winning by a couple of rounds.
Hopkins did his spoiler routine too much in that fight.
I don't like Hopkins but I definitely think he would have won by ko if he got his rematch.Comment

these are the kinds of ******, lame, half wit comments im talking about, how people parrot the spin doctors drivel.
how can a war of wills, tests of strategy, and the determination to implement both on your opponent by each fighter be boring.....???? you must not be a real boxing fan, same with anyone who believes this fight or any fight with these qualities is boring...... don't ever stick up for floyd then because you'll just shoot holes in your own argument.......
i was at the fight live, and it was far from boring...... listen to the crowd, no one was bored.
it wasn't until FOULzaghe said that when he was sneaking away form a rematch did that come out.........
it's nothing but strawman...................Comment

Green K.i have to disagree with ya walt, this is one i don't see eye to eye with you.....
maybe just this one....
i was there, ringside, had great seats, and not only me, but my whole section thought hopkins won, including the brits...... after watching the fight on tv, which, i've seen it a hundred times or more now, i can not for the life of me, see calzaghe landing anything cleanly and often enough to generate a win..........
i'm not being hopkins biased, im being truthful to what i see..... i've looked at it with empathy towards both sides and with an open mind. what i look for in scoring in a fight and what is important, calzaghe didn't have enough of to win......
like i said, from calzaghes biggest and closest fan, enzo calzaghe, look at how he thought the fight was going, he saw the same things and was worried about them, screaming to joe, " you need a ko to win !!" if that isnt a read on how the fight was really going, i don't know what was/is????
being fair and unbiased, i just can not see how scoring could've gone in calzaghe's favor........... the fight reeks of favoritism, from the announcing, compubox, and the judging........... like i said, it was hopkins vs the boxing establishment, which joe calzaghe represented........
just gotta be honest with what i saw, see, and how the facts stack up......
I'm also unbiased. I'm neither black or white and I had Hopkins winning as well.Comment

Brother it was a bad fight there styles did not match in any good way at all.these are the kinds of ******, lame, half wit comments im talking about, how people parrot the spin doctors drivel.

You listen to alex jones and you question my IQ? Sit down son
I was there ringside too. I had calzaghe up 8 rounds to 4. It was a boring fight thanks to Bhop holding and crying, should have taken his beating like a man ( RJJ ).Comment

close fight not a robbery but i always score it for hopkins ... ya he faded in the end and was acting when it came to the low blows for a breather. but he was the only one landing clean effective punches. i thought zags looked pretty horrible in that fight overall, his conditioning was the only reason the the fight was as close as it was.Comment

Unbiased? Do me a favour! When your not posting about how good Amir Khans ***** tastes you make it quiet clear you detest Calzaghe. If Calzaghe had scored a knock down every round you'd still of had Hopkins winning. Now **** off your mug.

i can't sign off on that, the fight had so many subtleties and nuances that the average fan could not see....... it was really awesome to watch. two guys that have made all their opponents fight their fight, fighting one another, trying to get the other to fight their fight, was awesome......
if you, and i don't mean YOU, but the public in general, but, if you were expecting a gatti ward type fight, or something of two guys duking it out, then yeah it was boring, but if you enjoy craft and the sweet science, then it was exciting and a chessmatch and it held your attention because you knew what to look for, not having it served up on a plate with nothing but haymakers.....
people complain about different things about this fight, but to me, it's something i want to see more of, i like watching craft, i like watching the slickness of punching inside ones punches, i like watching counter punches, i like watching controlling fighters being controlled by strategy and this fight had it all... calzaghe was trying to do what he wanted and hopkins was trying to do what he wanted.
i'm not saying it was a blowout, and i'm not going to talk about who won right now, style wise though, this fight was fine, and actually it was better than fine, it was on point........
all this boring crap came from calzaghe and pervious years of hbo marginalizing hopkins......... i don't know where this " hopkins is boring " stuff started but i know hbo has been working that angle for a long time, all the while you watch hopkins fights coming up, they were damn good and exciting.......
boring to me is mayweather vs baldomir, boring to me is wlad klitschko vs ibragimov. etc..........
just sayin.....Comment
