After the first few rounds Hopkins kept holding on to Calzaghe, Hopkins spoilt the fight end of story, Calzaghe won the fight no doubt about it.

if throwing more punches and not being effective is winning, then calzaghe wins that fight every time.
not true. not true at all.

the fight was razor thin close. it could have gone either way IMO. I've scored it anywhere from jocal by 1 to draw to bhop by 1

[QUOTE=daggum;10327280]i forgot the later rounds are worth twice as much. the first 8 rounds are basically just "practice" rounds[

i have to disagree with ya walt, this is one i don't see eye to eye with you.....

                      maybe just this one....

i was there, ringside, had great seats, and not only me, but my whole section thought hopkins won, including the brits...... after watching the fight on tv, which, i've seen it a hundred times or more now, i can not for the life of me, see calzaghe landing anything cleanly and often enough to generate a win..........

i'm not being hopkins biased, im being truthful to what i see..... i've looked at it with empathy towards both sides and with an open mind. what i look for in scoring in a fight and what is important, calzaghe didn't have enough of to win......

like i said, from calzaghes biggest and closest fan, enzo calzaghe, look at how he thought the fight was going, he saw the same things and was worried about them, screaming to joe, " you need a ko to win !!" if that isnt a read on how the fight was really going, i don't know what was/is????

being fair and unbiased, i just can not see how scoring could've gone in calzaghe's favor........... the fight reeks of favoritism, from the announcing, compubox, and the judging........... like i said, it was hopkins vs the boxing establishment, which joe calzaghe represented........

just gotta be honest with what i saw, see, and how the facts stack up......
