Would have been a great match.
Roy beats Bernard prime for prime... you bet... and you'd bed on Roy... or you wouldnt bet at all.

Unless it was on the fight going the distance.

True but the reverse is also true and is even worse, actually.

right, so it goes to show it's not a concrete answer one way or another. It's a shame it never happened, but I believe it would have been a hell of a fight that could have gone either way. Prime Jones was amazing. Prime Hopkins was amazing. Two totally different styles.

There is no right or wrong answer to this question, just an unknown. It's not as concrete as to say a prime roy/bhop would have beat calzaghe, I think that much is clear and very obvious.

Nope. He may be competitive against anyone in history but I wouldn't favor him against everyone.

I guess. It's Jones for me, all the way.

I think Jones is a bad style-match up for Hopkins and would have beaten him decisively, though in a very competitive fight.

I sound like a broken record sometimes...maybe I should start puttin my posts in the bank like the boy Klitschko2009 and just pull them out whenever needed ....Roy wins that chess match everyday all day....B.Hop wins 4 rounds or MAYBE 5 at MOST imo....the pre Ruiz/Tarver Roy wins EVERYTIME....as a matter of fact, I got Roy beating ANYBODY when he was on top of his game

Had to vote u mad. Hilarious.

Besides, everybody already knows that "Prime Superman Roy Jones Jr." can't be beat and that the Hopkins that beat up Tito won't be KO'd, hence the poll really only needs 1 choice : RJJ decisions B-Hop.
