I said that it wins fights. now your just reaching. and this after i'm actually taking your advice and rewatching this fight. Difference between you and me is that i can look at it objectively, that and i'm not as jumpy.
Yes, It does "win fights". The point I'm making is it SHOULD NOT.

I can understand fans making these mistakes, but not judges.

Wow, are you ******ed? I never said anything about who won the early rounds.

I'm done here, both you guys are reaching, and i'm fairly certain you are slow in the head.

          • On what basis does workrate win fights?

What I mean is what do you think the judges are doing? ignoring the four basic scoring criteria and making up a new one?

"Deserved to" is not a scoring criteria.

Hopkins lost because he threw 5 punches a round
not because he got hurt, outboxed, knocked down, etc
he lost solely because he didn't throw enough to appease the judges
he shoulda learned from the 2 losses to Taylor for that same reason
he didn't, so he deserved to lose

boxing is scored on a round by round basis.

so if hopkins "threw five" but landed all fhtem and calzaghe threw 40 but landed 2, how does Hopkins deserve to lose?

                  • people obviously do not score this fight round by round but they score it as one huge chunk. hopkins got tired in the later rounds therefore calzaghe wins? boxing does not work like that. you don't get credit early for things that happen late in a fight. hopkins was nullifying calzaghe's work rate by making him miss and countering him. then when he got tired calzaghe's work rate was more effective because hopkins couldn't counter and move fast enough. hopkins still won more rounds. work rate can help you win other criteria but work rate on it's own is not a scoring criteria. it's what you do with that work rate that counts.

ok compubox tards if calzaghe's work rate was so great how come he threw 1000 punches vs kessler and 700 vs hopkins? wanna really laugh? calzaghe landed 230 punches against hopkins and only 180 against kessler....... compubox is so credible!

because he suffered the same fate twice before and learned nothing
is activity alone supposed to win decisions?
technically, no, but we all know it does
and Hopkins knows, because it cost him the MW title twice
