Nice. Lemieux is a promising prospect. Scary KO power.

Ross Greenberg does not like caucasian foghters?
What brand of weed have you been inhaling?
Why is 'Canelo' so marketable?
Not because he looks like Julio Sr.
The race for the race card has always been an implant within boxing promotions.
From Jack Johnson to Gerry Cooney the ugly mask of pitting colors and nations against each other has been a national pastime.
Ross is certainly an advocate of that game.
It still sells.Comment

I think HBO has eyes on him because he has that rare patient killer aura about him. As Dwyer said, he has somewhat of a Mike Tyson aura. Fighters like him don't come around too often. That kind of stuff makes fight fans want to watch. If he gets past Rubio impressively, he will be one hot commodity.Comment

Lemieux could be a future opponet for Sergio Martinez in about 3 to 5 fights but I believe he'll be able to beat Zbik or Chavez jr but if Chavez Jr wins the WBC title look for him to avoid Lemieux in favor of a money fight with the grand champion MartinezComment

I cannot believe I haven't seen Lemieux fight yet! For one reason or another, I must've missed every time he was televised. Either way, I know for sure I will not miss this Friday's showdown with Rubio. From what I have seen of Rubio and heard about Lemieux, it sounds like David will win. After I write this, I will try to look up some clips on you-tube...
Regarding HBO, I don't think they really care what nationality or race a fighter is. If a guy puts asses in seats and gets people to tune in, they will be interested. I think the only time race comes up when promoting or building fights is when it's an old school rivalry, like PR vs. Mexico, PR vs. Cuba, Phillipines vs. Mexico, etc. which have had all time classic matches over the years (and years, and years)...Comment
