How many fights have you had?
How many fights have you won?

although i do agree, there is a level of respect that needs to be held for each and every fighter, for what they do is putting their life in danger each time they lace them up.
with that being said, boxers, sports figures, celebs, ALL put themselves up on the public chopping block opening themselves to all sorts of criticism. thats part of the gig. they have publicists and promoters putting their names out there and getting them all sorts of attention and the like, they are fair game at that point, and certain rights have been given up by them since entering the public arena as such. just look at how they have no privacy laws for them if they've hired a publicist and promote their names, its kind of sick and saddening..... but true. it's how the paparazzi get to harass people without any trouble by the law because they're protected by the law due to the fact they're public figures.
i don't think bashing someone is cool, but, it's not out of bounds, since the rules have been laid, and actually by LAW too....... i only call out shenanigans but at the same time, i have no problem talking smack on a guy that deserves it by his actions............
it's not about what have you done? and if its nothing, you have no say.... it doesn't work like that, only if i was passing myself as an expert in the same field of work with no experience or achievements would it be relevant as to " what the **** have i/you done??? other than that, it's all fair game......... the rules have been set long before you even thought about this.............TS....Last edited by deuce_drop; 04-03-2011, 02:21 PM.Comment

You've got to be critical sometimes. Boxing is a tough sport - anyone with half a braincell knows that. But criticism plays a big part in boxing, it's good have heated debates. If no one had an opinion then boxing wouldn't be fun. Boxing makes for great banter too.
And people do pay money to watch a good display of boxing. Also, boxers often talk a good fight and put on abysmal performances, conning the viewers of their money. We don't follow this sport to watch boxers pick up their pay cheques without the desire to win.
Everyone has a right to their own views, right & wrong.Comment

I played Football, basketball, ran track, was a state wrestler...and fought anybody anywhere. Theres a lot of rules in boxing that protect a fighter. Half the fighters in the ring would get they asses whooped outside the ring. Everything goes outside that square circle...Comment

I agree. It's fine to have an opinion, but to **** talk a professional boxer is uncalled for. Especially recently with Calderon you've had tools on her saying this and that. I would to see any one of them step in the ring with him.Comment

What I was primarily targeting is not people ****ting on fighters for not fighting each other (Mayweather/Pacquiao) or cherrypicking but rather the fans ridiculing boxers who are forced to their knee such as Cotto and Calderon..Comment
