Arum expects HBO to put up the money regardless of whether these two are unknown to the casual fan or not. Why is he expecting that when neither one of these two are all that known? And I say that about Lopez too, because every spectator at his fight with Marquez were Mexicans which is to be expected but still. There's no reason not to make this fight now.

Juanma knows what he's up against,thats why he wants Gamboa at a weight he feels will give him an advantage.

If you ask me,Juanma needs any advantage he can get for this fight.

It was in Vegas a place where Marquez should have been able to sell more tickets. If the fight was in NY or NJ the attendence would probably be double that or more.

gamboa has fought at that weight a few times in the beggining of his career, i dont think is going to make a big difference maybe just a small difference

Complete waste of time. IMO.

It really is. The first fight was only interesting because Lopez threw caution to the wind. I really wish Lopez and Gamboa could just get in the ring together right now, but I know they aren't allowed.
