Another thing you buys don't seem to understand is, although Arum is a Harvard trained Lawyer, and as clever as a bag of foxes, he probably has a full team of lawyers working for him whose SPECIALTY is.......Boxing Contracts.

The old legal saying we used to have was "The lawyer who represents himself in court, has a fool for a client". And even all the *** haters MUST admit, that ARUM IS NO FOOL.

Certainly he probably casts his eye over everything before he allows it to go out, but the REAL work must be done by HIS lawyers. Neither he nor any big promoter who is the public face of his organisation will tell you this, but I'm almost certain it is true. It's business.

You guys are pretty THICK. Don't you STILL even UNDERSTAND that Top Rank has a VALID contract with Donaire expiring on June 25th of THIS year, still THREE MONTHS AWAY.

And in that contrac t, is a LEGAL clause which states that Top Rank have the OPTION of extending the contract for ONE calandar year, which option Top Rank has stated publically it intends to to exercise.

AND that even WITHOUT that option, the PRESENT contract contains clauses which EXTEND the contract by the amount of medical suspensions suffered by Donaire during the life of the contract.

THIS happens to be 2 six month periods, that is ANOTHER year. So even without the option, Donaire's contract STILL has another year and 3 months to run.

So why the hell would Malignaggi be so DUMB as to say what he has just said, as if Donaire was as free as a bird, to fly away whenever he felt like.

One of the foundations of civilized life is the legal contract, binding parties to COMMIT to certain actions. Without legal contracts, even though the US is the most lawyer ridden country in the world, weall would be in such a MESS that nothing ever would work properly, and civilization would be doomed.

Malignaggi is just "too quick off the mark" here and obviously has NOT followed the situation at all. And you guys who are so much in agreement with him, show a real lack of common sense....to say the very, very least.

Donaire's contract, as far as I can see the published facts, runs until June 20-25th 2013.

And there's nothing that Donaire or Golden Balls can do about it, unless Top Rank wishes to let him leave.

Are you a practicing lawyer? Did you write the contract? Have you even seen the contract? You are believing everything Bob Arum said which you cannot do, especially from the guy who stated "Yesterday I was lying, today I am telling the truth!" Are you that gullible to believe everything. Obviously, GBP saw something that they think nullifies the contract. If they fight it in court then we will find out. Until then, you cannot just believe Bob Arum. All that happened is a judge looked at the contract and stated that Bob has control for now. Another judge needs to look at it and see if it was breached.

Thank you, for presenting some sanity here! There has obviously been a rift between the two promotional teams for quite awile now, and Arum would rather die than lose the likes of Donaire to Golden Boy. I will always believe the Pac V Mayweather fight won't go down because the infighting bewteen Top Rank and Golden Boy and not the actual fighters themselves. I hear what Paulie is saying and respect the fact that he is siding with the fighter, if anything it brings attention to how Arum is handling Donaire's career. Good lookin out Paulie!

That's good, but.... Malignaggi has not fared well in business !! And for Donaire the future fights were with Gamboa or Juanma Lopez... not a near future but the right time to create drama. How many big fights will Donaire be, considering GBP top fighters ??
