hopkins is my all time favorite fighter, and i love the ghost, but, pavlik should've never signed for that fight......... it ruined him......

well pavlik wanted to to fight calzaghe but joe would rather fight a shot jones jr so he opted to fight the guy who just got robbed vs calzaghe. i give pavlik credit for taking tough fights unlike some fighters....

Yeah, they're probably not good observers of the game and miscalculated on just how "Shot" or past his prime Hopkins really is, after the Calzaghe fight. They probably thought, now is the time to take him, they thought wrong.

If Pavlik had beaten Hopkins everyone would be crying that Hopkins was too old and Hopkins probably would have retired.

Pavlik got beat up and got taught a lesson. I never really bought into Pavlik.

I think a lot of people were on his nuts because he was a white American boxer.

what was sad was, pavliks corner had NO ANSWER, all loew kept telling him was " double jab, right hand " , " look, all you have to do is throw lots of punches, thats how calzaghe did it "
