before Pac fought in a catchweight. catchweight was there to EVEN the playing fields. and catchweight has been around with NO, i repeat NO ISSUES.

well last time i checked

the cotto catchweight 145lb i believe was only like a 1 pound difference in which cotto usually comes in at.. so i doubt 1,2 pounds make a difference

margarito came in at 150, pac came in like 144.. and to really think margarito would of won if it was at the full limit 154.. pac demolished him...

why are catchweights considered "bad" now since pac has been using them, when they have been perfectly acceptable in the sport of boxing for many years.. hypocrites i tell you

pac was bloated by 7lbs from 138 going to 145
cotto was drained by 1lb from 146 going to 145

I think pac is more in a disadvantage situation here the fight should have been made at 142lbs to be fair.
