If Lyakhovich brings his A-game (and I'll be the first to admit that he hasn't since Brewster), this could be a much better fight than we all think. Sadly, I don't think it's going to happen, but there is always hope.

To all who says that this is ****ty opponent, I challenge you to name one who is more deserving and is not scheduled to fight or isn't injured. Name one, just one...

Time for A 48 yr old Holyfield to fight a 40 yr old Klitschko. If he can't fight the 7 ft freak from Russia.... this is the only bout that sells for him in between Adamek & Haye. Vitali goes out fighting 3 straight former cruiserweight champions. Holyfield even said himself that he'd prefer Vitali & he'd be easier because Vitali likes to mix it up & might leave openings for him. It's time we put Holy in there... i guarantee you..he'll be better than ALL of Vitali's opponents since Sanders. He's going to be pumped.. facing the absolute best & Vitali gets to put another hall of famer & top 10 heavy on his resume. Holy vs Klitschko..somebody is going to have all 4 belts by the end of the year. It's either the Klitschkos unifying.. Haye & it's time we give Holy his last shot at his goal. You never know.. all it might take is 2 fights vs bOTH K'S or Vitali & then Haye or for all the marbles. the only 2 cruiserweight champions 20 years apart going for the ultimate showdown.. Unification....
Ok.. here's the deal... It's the Klitschko's that have the inside track on unification as they only need to win 1 fight... but the second most likely to unify is vITALI alone if Wlad loses to Haye. Out of the 3 Haye has the most difficult task as he has to take out both Klitschko's in succession.

In my book, Vitali fights 3 more times and then retires next year 40 yrs old.

One fight this summer, against Liakhovich, or whoever has the balls.

Adamek in the fall.

Final fight early 2012, against Valuev.

Vacates his belt and lets Wlad unify all the titles.

Also, If he could kick Solis 1.8 millions bucks and make almost ten times that himself, why can't K2 pony 2 million to get Valuev in the ring with him??

Very upsetting that a guy with 17 fights is offered more than the 50-2 veteran.

Liakhovich has already been defeated by Valuev and Knocked out by SHanon Briggs.

Michael Grant is no better a choice than Lyakhovich. He'd get destroyed in 2-3 rounds. Same with Valuev, that isn't even a competative fight in my opinion. Valuev could be done with boxing.

Grant doesn't have the chin, toughness, or skills as Serhei.

Lyackovich is a reasonable opponent for a stay-active fight. It could be worse, Vitali could have decided to fight Taras *****ko, put it on PPV, hyped the fight as a huge match-up which the Ukrainian public demanded to see, held-off for the first couple of rounds in order to make it seem competitive before finishing him off in the 3rd, then collecting a well deserved multi-million sum afterwards.

*****ko arguably beat Valuev in 2002 in only his 4th pro fight and was involved in a FOTY type fight with Vyrchys in 2004 and is a rather skilled HW. Comparing his skills and chin/heart to Audley is ***ing insulting.

Liakhovich sounds like perfect preparation for Adamek( Like he needs it)

The White Wolf is a generally an entertaining HW(A rarity).

I don't mind this stay busy fight.

I had him beating Briggs before the one-punch miracle.

Not a lot of options out there for Vitali.

Lyakhovich was injured vs Valuev and fought most the fight with 1 arm. As far as a warmup fight for Adamek goes he's a good choice imo. He's bigger, hits harder, just as tough, and is mobile he has some of the better footowork in the HW division. Good choice to prepare for Adamek.

I would like to of seen Serhei vs Povetkin, Boytsov, Adamek (both with Main Events) but i doubt we'll ever see them.

Valuev is still injured and may never come back now. He'll need a warm-up if he ever does return. He's no longer ranked by any of the sanctioning organizations.

Chisora is not ranked by the WBC. Vitali needs to choose somebody ranked or it will not be sanctioned as a WBC title fight (unless he's in a unification fight).

In that case, I'm cool with him beating up Antonio Tarver I still hate Tarver for knocking out Roy. That fight would be hilarious, and he did call out the Klitschkos last year.

uhh a stay busy fight in preparation for a fight with a top 4 HW in the world 3 months later? Oh, the horror.............If the guys ready to fight on june 4th who gives a damn. Its a 3 loss fighter, former title holder. I mean who else do you want Vitali to fight? Or should he just retire because he's better than everyone else? Sorry that Vitali isnt like Ali and he doesnt struggle with bums making HW bouts like Ali vs. Wepner exciting. I am sure Vitali wishes he wasnt so amazing and didnt have the ability to destroy anyone put in front of him.
