Lol there is a big difference in the DLH Floyd fought and Manny fought, Hatton had been a name boxing heads were calling for years, Maybe his style and the way he dominates, is the reason to you he hasn't been in a real fight, re watch the Judah fight, Mosley, Hatton and Marquez all ranked p4p when Floyd beat them. Manny is 2 inches smaller than Floyd, and naturally smaller but its only ok for him to fight Manny not Hatton who is bigger than Manny or Marquez who is bigger than Manny. Watch some Floyd boxing matches for real dudeComment

thread starter??when was your last real fight??..cause i guess you're saying floyd fights in the wwe now when he boxesComment

That might explain why he hesitates so much to fight Manny. He might doubt himself a little. Now that's reaching I'll admit but you can't deny he has avoided some legit matches that would've been tougher for him. For the past several years (pretty much since Castillo back in 2002) Floyd has been carefully matched with either much older, much smaller or far lesser skilled fighters. Yes, an arguement could be made about Manny having a similar matchmaking schedule in very recent bouts but at the absolute worst even haters of Manny would admit Cotto in 2009 (much more recent) was a real fight against a highly skilled, dangerous opponent. Floyd has beaten some good to very good fighters (on paper) but let's face it the DLH he beat was about as shot as the one Manny beat. The Hatton he beat was a naturally smaller man than him and in the Manny fight Hatton was about equal in terms of size. I know the *****s will jump all over this saying I'm a hater but it's a legitimate arguement that Floyd hasn't been in there with a prime live dog in years. If he fights Spaddy that basically follows the gameplan of either old, small or weak fighters. Castillo must still be on his mind, why else would he avoid the most serious of challenges.
I call bull****. Why you say?? Which fighter could he have been matched against that is more skilled??? Every fighter is lesser skilled.
Also Floyd moved from 135 upwards after Castillo.......how could everyone at 140 and 147 have been smaller than him??? Again i call bull****.
Floyd is held to a higher standard, as is MP now that her is # 1. People expect more from them, they expect the best.Comment

Also Floyd has been in plenty of "REAL" fights:
- Hernandez
- Castillo
- Augustus
- Corley
- Judah
- Hatton
- SSM
seriously do you guys even watch the fights?? or is it easier to just make some ****** assumptions??
It's like saying MP has no skills.......well how the *** does he keep winning if he has no skills?
Some advice....actually watch the fights, study them and really try to look at what is happening....the subtle things that fighters do. You will appreciate this sport much much more and you might come up with some better opinions.Comment

THIS. It's so funny how haters don't want to give Floyd any credit for fighting Mosley, who actually looked great his last fight (take notes Manny) when he completely destroyed Margarito (who people say Floyd ducked, when in reality he made the best decision possible to fight DLH instead and become a PPV star).
Mosley was THE BEST FIGHTER AVAILABLE outside of Pacman. I really want someone to dispute this fact.
Indeed. Who else would have been acceptable?? Mosley was the only option accepted by fans and media alike if it wasn't going to be MP.Comment

All I'm reading is a bunch of *****s hugging on their god. Look I'm not saying he isn't an elite boxer. I am saying he has very carefully selected weak opponents since Castillo. If you for real see people like Judah who was schooled by the legendary Baldomir, Gatti a decent but far from great fighter, or a Shane coming off a very long layoff as the best options for Floyd then you can't see past your own bull****. I wouldn't even be having this conversation if Floyd fought Tszyu at 140, or Cotto and Margs when both were still considered elite at 147. True, Shane beat Margs but Cotto beat Shane and to this day the Margs-Cotto fight is tainted. Face it Floyd has taken safe fights since the 135 Castillo days.Comment

Everyone wants to fight Floyd? Now they do($), but after Castillo got beat twice. Who was calling out Floyd? There is so much history on Shane not wanting to fight Floyd, it is ridiculous. But again, everyone wanted to fight Floyd.Comment
