I'll have you know that only ONE other athlete ever acted in a similiar manner and reaped a huge reputation from it.

Tennis player Bill Tilden,a multi-time Wimbledon and Slam champion, turned pro, and on one tour when the take was poor that the Tour Owner lost money, Tilden handed back his fee, saying that it was up to him to draw the ceowd, and since he didn't do that, he shouldn't take the money.

A little touch of nostalgia. Nobody else has ever done anything like this since. He came from a good background and he was a thoroughly good sport, and, for him winning wasn't everything. It was common for him to deliberately lose the first set, and be down in the second and then excite the fans by slowly pulling back and eventually winning "by a neck", as the horsey crowd say.

An d he would get enormous amounts of endorsments as well as probably lots of good fight offers. not to mention a sure retuern fight with Pacquiao, at an increased fee.And there would be a real cleaning out of incompetent referees, many of whom would retire rather than face a similiar situation. The Three Blind Mice for instance.
No it wouldn't, most media outlets saw this fight as being one sided, injustice was done to both participants in this fight, both Pacquiao and Bradley. What Bradley needs to do is go through with the rematch and win, which is what I'm expecting him to do. You on the other hand, your living in fantasy land.

He did no such thing. He happened to be in the ring when MannyP did a little shadow-boxing for the camera and moved back so that he would not impede him in any way.

Why don't you guys talk a little sense, even once in a while would be an improvement.

            Another example :

"In June 2008, [Michael] Johnson voluntarily returned the 4 x 400 m relay gold medal he earned in the 2000 Olympics after Antonio Pettigrew, who ran the second leg, admitted he took performance enhancing drugs between 1997 and 2001[...]he felt the medal was not won fairly"
