other posters on here have pointed it out as well...all of Mayweather staple phrases have been regurgitated by Bradley...its kinda annoying to hear
28 have tried 28 have failed would be kind of lame to coin.
but the hard work, dedication etc is not a floyd thing at all. It's very common and i know plenty of athletes growing up who used to say just that.

What about when you bet on Bradley you get paid... did Mayweather say that but with his name?
I think it was on the profile of a fighter show that HBO did and in some interviews he has done....

who bets on Bradley?..not many people know who he is and he has generated no revenue in the sport....I get what he is saying but he needs to get his own catch phrases and develop his own identity.

well how many fighters who are known have used "hard work/dedication" over and over in a public forum? Ihave never heard Bradley say that until he signed to fight Pac, I never heard Bradley say "27 have tried and 27 have failed" before the Casamayor fight. If you have then I aplogize for being wrong but I honestly havent heard Bradley say any of those things prior to signing for the Pac fight....

he says "Pac is easy work, blah blah blah"...come on...no fighter says that except for Floyd...even Broner is trying hard to emulate floyd, not only physically but verbally

Please explain how my post is wrong. The Nevada State Athletic Commission said Pac's guaranteed purse was $6 million. The NSAC said Mayweather's guarantee against Cotto was $32 million and Cotto's was $8 million. HBO never released he PPV numbers for Pac/Marquez, so we have no idea how many PPV's were sold and I don't believe anything Bob Arum says. So please tell me how my post can be wrong when I was stating facts provided by the NSAC and then stating my opinion (how can an opinion be wrong?) about the other things.

Also, while you are in an explaining mode, can you or any of other Pac worshippers please explain to me why Golden Boy Promotions is able to give Mayweather his $32 million guaranteed purse directly after the fight while Arum can only give Pac $6 million of his alleged guarateed purse of $20 million immediately after the fight. And please don't give me that crap about the taxes because he has to pay taxes on all of the money, regardless of when he receives it.

It was a slight at his record instead of saying 28 have tried, 28 have failed.
I've watched that and don't think I ever heard him say that... I think he said the betting thing. Guess I'll rewatch it though... mostly talked about growing up in Palm Springs

Thats what I am saying...just recently he has appeared to emulate Mayweathers catch phrases...

I guess we will see how the rest of the 24/7 plays out

I remember driving to LA to see my cousin about 8-9 years ago, and we stopped in Palm Springs. It was mostly nice, a resort type of city in the Mojave. But we got off in Desert Hot Springs (The North End), and it looked like your average crappy neighborhood in any average American city out west. Had no clue that's where Bradley was from.

"The figures written in a Nevada contract are not necessarily the real number for big PPV guys. They get most of their money off PPV generally. So if Manny's "official" purse is $8 million fine. But he is guaranteed in his contract with Top Rank (which is not something the commission would have or release if it did) something like $20 million or whatever. The money is the money. One of the reasons for the disparity is because Manny is not a US citizen and is often paid a large amount of his money through his Filipino promotional company and deals in the Philippines for things like the television revenue there. So while it looks like a big difference it is not in reality."

"So folks can keep on drinking the kool aid. But they dont get how the business actually works when it comes to fighters from overseas. I once covered a world title fight in Vegas with a champion from South Africa in say about 2002. His Nevada contract for a world title fight said his official purse was like $1,000. But he was making more like $50,000 because of the TV money from South Africa. You can do anything with numbers. What is written on the Nevada paper for big time fights isn't worth the paper it is written on,"

Fat Dan is simply repeating the words of Bob Arum. The same thing can be said about Mayweather, Cotto and others. Mayweather was guaranteed $32 million against Cotto, but stands to get an additional $20 to 30 million from PPV, foreign rights, sponsorships, the live gate, etc. However, that money is not guaranteed. The only money that he is guaranteed to get is $6 million. The rest of what he gets depends on the profits and the expenses. The king of PPV, as the Pac worshippers on this site like to call their god, shouldn't have to rely on the PPV, television righs, sponsorships, etc. for the majority of his money when a nobody like Mayweather who has no fans (according to the Pac worshippers) is guaranteed $32 million for a fight and then gets an additional $20 million on top of that from other sources.

I'm excited and glad it turned out better than most expected
