What is there to unify with Zab? I don't get it, only one title between em at 140.
Marquez is enjoying this, he's just playing the game and rightfully so. He's probably still gonna fight Pacquiao, I mean c'mon let's not forget how he campaigned for that fight. He wants it alright...Comment

Please stop it with the Pac has gotten way better since Pac-MarquezII. He was not "green" in that fight freakin non-sense. He was 29, had been training with Roach for at least five years. He fights the SAME no different!!! Marquez is just a much smarter fighter than anybody Pac has fought period. I thought Pac won the first fight mostly based on the 3 knockdowns plus a couple rounds here or there. The second fight I had Marquez 7-5 rounds 114-113 if you include the knockdown. No way did Marquez get whooped and even at welterweight I still think Pac would win a close decision. When will Pac's guys learn that Styles and circumstances make fights just as much as talent.Comment

Judah v Marquez is a fight that should be made. If not the winner of Morales v Maidana, I think JMM beats either. He'll probably get clocked by Maidana, but he's never had a problem with the loopy right hand it's the straight left and the left hook to the head he can't get away from and Maidana leaves alot of openings for 4 or 5 punch combinations down the middle. I think the winner of Khan and Bradley would be too much for JMM at this stage.Comment

jmm is backtracking from leaving gbp because he knows he can't beat pac man. he lost twice before and that was versus a fighter who has grown and improved immensely since then. he was just leveraging to get the best deal possible out of gbp and it seems like its worked. good for him. get paid fighting people in your stratosphere. pac is just on another level.Comment

Think of it this way people. GBP asked for $5 million when they 'tried' to make the JMM fight with Pacquiao. Arum balked at that number saying it was twice as much as JMM got for Floyd (which JMM got $3.1 million due to Floyd not making the contracted weight). So GBP probably told JMM, look, Arum is only going to offer you a max of $3 million with maybe a percentage of PPVs over 500K or something like that! What we can do for you is get you the Robert Guerrero fight if he beats Katsidis for $1 to $1.25 million and get you the Zab Judah fight for approx $2 million. So with two fights, you can make the same amount. And you won't have to fight way out of your weight class at 147 lbs. Plus, considering it's a four fight deal, he could potentially make another $3 million in two fights against the likes of Bradley, Alexander, Maidana, Mattysse or even Morales if he upsets Maidana. Arum only has Rios, Soto and Antillon at 135 lbs and really nobody at 140 lbs. We can get you the money fights.
That's what I imagined what happened which is why now JMM is contemplating staying with GBP. Either way, whether he signs with TR or stays with GBP, he's got some good fights ahead...Comment

backtracking? hes making a wise decision if you ask me, a 37 year old man whos age is already catching up to him doesn't need to go and fight in a weight class thats going to slow him down tremendously.
GBP is full of shit, after the katsidis fight they said they would step aside for a 3rd fight because "marquez deserved it".Comment

Do you have a link where GBP states "They would step aside and want nothing to do with the promotion? And why does that have anything to do with what I said! All I stated was what probably went down in the meetings with JMM. It doesn't matter what they said before or two months ago or last year, it's what they said and offered yesterday! You got way too much hostility for an opinion of what might have been said! Calm down bro...Comment
