A lot of the hate directed towards Andre Berto is unwarranted

I want one hater to name a legit fighter at 147 that he can actually fight,we all know of the 2 primadonnas ruling the scene who fcking else is there,a weight drained Williams.

Yup,Berto is the livest opponent for them 2 primadonas.But they're not fighting each other & they ain't fighting him,but the only 1 criticized is him.They're all doing the same thing.I never thought I'd see the day when a fighter can have a claim to be the best fighter int the world,while feeding on a steady diet of old men & face 1st brawlers & have his fans acknowledge he's been putting on farces & are still willing to like his a$$ clean after he takes a dump on their pocketbooks.

Berto has looked very good but look at his opposition. He fought a highly rated WW in Collazo and you saw what happened. Instead of making a case for himself of beating the available top opposition in his weight class he decides to fight JrWW and dark horses of his weight.

He is sitting on idle with that huge contract and is playing low risk cause he will get paid either way till the really big money fight comes around. Maybe it would had came around already if his name was a factor but he will remain in obscurity.

Ortiz is a good fighter that has a name, but he never fought at WW, he lost to Maidana (which he mentally melted down) and against Peterson he played it safe and stopped fighting the way that got him there which was to be aggressive.

If Berto gets hate it is warrented by his actions in the ring and the type of opponent he has been fighting. It is like watching a fighter with all this talent getting wasted away and he is at his peek

i f he did not fight dark horses as you say how would they ever get there shot,i am a hardcore fan and i can count 100 fighters throughout the years that were desreving of the shot but did not get it,if this gfame was about pure talent there would not be the crop of champions you see today.

Only crack I can say about him is the rumor that he outpriced himself in negotiations for a Mosley fight and Mosley ended up fighting Mora.

As far as his match with Ortiz....Maidana is more dangerous than anyone Berto has ever faced, no? Ortiz has had a few wins since then and I would say there about as good/bad as the dudes Berto has been beating. I thought Collazo beat Berto, and the dude aint all that. Its a very interesting fight, I see Ortiz beating Berto possibly knocking him out. And to be quite honest I dont see it as an upset.
