In what year did you start following Boxing?

I expect most Pac and Floyd fans to lie but to the humble and honest posters that are left in NSB, please vote and name which fight was the first live fight that you saw.

I started watching in 2006. I saw Mosley vs. Vargas II as a casual fan still but the week after that was Gatti-Baldomir, and I just decided to watch it. Then I started watching old fights on Youtube and I've been a huge fan since then.

Started or got really into it?

I watched boxing growing up and always liked it for example I can remember the day my bro told me Tyson got beat but to me you can't really follow the sport until you get a bit older.

Arturo Gatti-Angel Manfready and Ike Ibaebuchi-Tua were the fights that made me really get into the sport hardcore. which was mid to late 90's

Always have. My dad and I would sit down and watch Tuesday Night Fights, HBO Boxing ect. I liked Roy and Prince Naseem the best.

I lost interest once i got into my teen years, but really got back into it when I saw an Erik Morales fight when I was in High School, 2003 or so. I dived right in and got pretty hardcore about it. I went through all my dad's tapes of guys like Jeff Chandler, Livingston Bramble, and Robert Duran and am pretty much up to speed on the 80s onward, and of course the major fights from earlier.

The first fight I remember watching is Leonard-Hearns II, with my dad, brother and grandfathers. I was 8 so I can't really say that made me a fan but what stuck out was everyone was going for Hearns so the emotions that played out as the fight progressed, then that decision.

That probably did play a role in me becoming a big boxing fan, I haven't thought about that in a long time thank you.

I was a caual fan as a kid that watched the big fights on British TV throughout th 90's. When i got the internet in about 2002 i fell in love with the sport with the constant updates, hype and fights not broadcast over here.
