nonito should drop the lawsuit and just finish out his contract, otherwise it'll be inactive for a long time.

Arum says "Punishing a fighter is not my style..." (HAHAHAHA), but twice threatens (or insinuates) inactivity for Donaire. "If he [Donaire] wants to be an active fighter...", what kind of crap is that? The whole reason Donaire was making this move is to be MORE active against better competition. That being said, Donaire and GBP made a ****** move. Donaire should have brought his issues to the court (regarding his belief that TR had not fulfilled their end of the bargain) BEFORE he announced he was making a move over to another promotional company. [The judge also clearly stated that no motion has even been filed with them yet regarding Donaires issue with his contract with TR.] And, if GBPs legal attorney is supposed to be as good as they say, he should have known right off the bat that the times Donaire was medically unqualified to fight would be an issue as far as extending the contract by that amount of time. After all, they work for a promotional company, right? GBP would be doing and saying the say thing as Top Rank is now, if it was their fighter that was jumping ship and they still had (apparently) time left on their contract with them because the fighter was medically unable to fight for 1 year on a 3 year contract. Only a fool would believe that the 3 years was up even though he couldn't fight for 1 of those years due to medical reasons. GBP & Co. never ceases to show some ignorance.

Side note: It's a little humorous to see GBP throw such a hissy fit about the JMM situation, even though they were so obvious about it with Donaire. At least TR (even though I don't think they're innocent in all this) didn't go to the media and tell the world that they offered JMM a deal while disputes about his contract are still on going. Yet GBP PROUDLY announced it the world without having all of their facts straight. Such hypocracy!

If Arum gets to keep Donaire, don't expect any high paying fights. He "says"' he's not in the punishing business but Bob will do what is best for Arum. I think Arum will offer Donaire HUGE fights and no money and when Donaire turns them down, Bob can say "he doesn't want to fight" and ruin his credibility. He knows Donaire will bolt whenever he first gets the chance so no need to try and protect him anymore...

Donaire should have asked Golden Boy to put up money for him to buy out of his contract like Floyd did. Can't front. Arum let Floyd out of his deal for $700,000.

I also thought that would of been the best thing for them to do. Too bad they thought they had cause to just take Donaire.
