Man this is boxing. These guys are fighters. You act like this is the first time a fighter has said he wanted to kill his opponent. Fighters say some ridiculous **** all the time. You're being a bit sensitive.

true but this is hopkins we talking about...the same cat who promised to ko taylor, who promised to never lose to a white boy, and said he was fighting the winner of dawson/johnson II, among other things...\

now who really believes he's gonna kill a guy who knocked him down 2x and eked out a draw against...now if he said he was going for the ko he probably wouldn't get clowned as much...

tyson built a tremendous fan base by promising ko's, and not only delivering, but putting cats on stretchers...so when he got to the point where he was saying he was gonna eat cat's unborn kids and threatened death, even more people turned out because you could half believe tyson was crazy enough to do it...same thing with mayorga's antics....

hopkins?...you know it ain't happening...

the point is (without the jokes): hopkins is a way tooo long in the tooth veteran to be engaging in the head game promises he know ain't happening...just exposes the fact that he is scared to some degree of not only losing but possibly getting ko'd....reminds me of when iran barkley was talking about killing a prime james toney @ 168....everybody knew he was shook going into the fight...
